Weld County Juvenile Assessment Center
The Weld County Juvenile Assessment Center, also known as the JAC, serves young people in the area who are living with formidable life challenges. The young people we primarily serve are those who are dealing with school truancy, trouble with drugs and alcohol, or trouble with the law.
The JAC has recently undergone various changes. They have upgraded their website and switched to a paper free record management system which currently stores information on over 2000 cases that the JAC has handled. Their new records management system also contains a database of many community organizations that are willing to serve the needs of the public. This new database of services may be accessed through the “Resources” section of the new Juvenile Assessment Center webpage.
In addition to these improvements, the JAC has merged with the 1451 Collaborative Management Project. This merger will allow the assessment center to more efficiently use resources to fit our community’s needs.
