The Be A Man! Fatherhood Program will challenge, equip, and inspire young men to develop into the man they are capable of being. Real men are the fathers their children desperately need.

Our program utilizes the "Quenching the Father Thirst" curriculum to teach parenting skills from a uniquely fatherhood perspective. Additional "life skills" classes are also offered and each participant will be given the opportunity to be matched with a mentor to walk along side them on their journey of fatherhood. Mentors meet to review any questions that may come up from the previous class, to listen, to offer general input on life's challenges and to help begin setting goals for the future. There’s also a lot of opportunity for fun and finding mutual support from other fathers. Each meeting begins with a meal and child care is provided.

The program, named B.A.M!, which is short for "Be A Man" is headed by Program Director, Mike Bonnell. B.A.M! provides participants with an opportunity to meet with other fathers and learn parenting skills with a father-specific twist. The program utilizes a parenting skills curriculum, but the heart of the program relies on mentor relationships, matching volunteer dads with client dads. To read full article click here
